The Bidvest Group is an international trading and distribution company, listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, and is currently the largest food service business outside of North America. Much diversified, the company specialises in automotive retail, freight management, office supplies, packaging and corporate travel, among other things. Founded in 1988 by Mervyn Chipkin and Brian Joffe, the firm has enjoyed substantial success over recent years and continues to grow through a positive acquisition strategy.
