GlaxoSmithKline

GlaxoSmithKline works within the pharmaceuticals, biologics, vaccines, and consumer healthcare industries. This pharmaceutical giant was created in 2000 as a result of various mergers that date back to 1880, and is now the seventh-largest pharmaceutical company in the world by number of sales. The company creates medication for major diseases, ranging from asthma, cancer, viruses, infections, diabetes, to mental health issues. In 2012 the company campaigned in the US for expanded uses of smoking cessation drugs, and developed an intramuscular vaccine to protect against four influenza strains.
