Japan Post Insurance

Over the years Japan Post Insurance has become one of the largest insurance companies in the world, specialising in life insurance. It prides itself on its creative and efficient services. By 2021, its 150th anniversary, the group aims to hit three targets – to ‘refine’, ‘expand’ and ‘connect’ its business even further. Japan Post takes regulation very seriously and employs a number of committees to ensure its organisation maintains the utmost integrity. It currently has a risk management committee, compliance committee and earnings management committee – all of which report to an executive committee. Japan Post, too, has a risk management department.
