Listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange, Citadel sits on a cool $8.3bn in investments, mostly founded in the Middle East and Africa. Its interests vary from energy, transportation and retail. Due to the continued rapid growth and interest in Egyptian equities, 2010 saw the firm establish the Egyptian Private Equity Association. Although founded as recently as 2004 the firm has been recognised through a string of awards, and can boast to have returned around $2.5bn in funds to investors in that time. Citadel Capital prides itself on boosting small and regional companies, with a view to the Middle East gaining greater global appeal.
