Brian Stuart-Young undertook the management buyout and rebranding of the Global Bank of Commerce (GBC) in 2002, and implemented his vision to transform the Caribbean institution into a global provider of international financial services. As Chairman and CEO he successfully increased the bank’s capital as much as sevenfold and maintains a profitable operating income according to its audited statements. Leveraging strong relationships in technology-driven services and utilising niche strategies the bank has expanded its business into card-based and ecommerce payment services, far beyond its borders, as well as providing serviceable innovative solutions to manage wealth in challenging economic times.
