DuPont

Rarely has a brand achieved as much versatility in its offering as innovative chemicals company DuPont. The pioneer, founded 210 years ago, has turned novel materials like Lycra, Teflon, cellophane, nylon and polyethylene into everyday household aids to deliver advances in areas like healthcare, food, safety, construction, and electronics. Committed and driven by science and emerging technologies, DuPont has also ventured into nanotechnologies and biomaterials, which led to better than anticipated financial results which saw DuPont raising its 2011 earnings forecast. The company bought Danisco in June to expand in biofuels and food ingredients, and has since launched Teflon bakeware.
